GOVERNOR OTTER ANNOUNCES DRAFT SAGE- GROUSE PLAN AND ENCOURAGES PUBLIC COMMENT
(BOISE) – Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter released the Draft Alternative for Sage-Grouse Management in Idaho after reviewing the final recommendations from the Sage-Grouse Task Force he appointed in March.
“I look forward to reviewing public comments on my draft plan for sage-grouse.” Governor Otter said. “Public review is essential to finding an Idaho solution to an important problem that could devastate our rural and agricultural economy.”
The public is invited to review and comment on the plan until July 13, 2012. After the comment period closes, final submission will be presented to the U.S. Departments of Interior and Agriculture. The Governor’s plan can be viewed and comments can be submitted at the Idaho Department of Fish and Game’s Web site here.
