![]() The Governor poses for a picture with Mr. and Mrs. Chad Pfeifer of Caldwell. Chad Pfeifer received a ceremonial presentation of the Purple Heart. Pfeifer was serving in the US Army as an infantry paratrooper when his humvee was hit by an IED last April. He lost his leg and has now learned how to walk again with a prosthetic leg.

Governor Otter addresses members of the public at the
transportation funding conference held in Boise at the Centre on the
Grove. The conference was the 7th and final one of the series of public meetings held around the state to discuss transportation funding problems and possible solutions.

Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter speaks at a luncheon for
the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce at the Grove Hotel in Boise. At the luncheon the Governor proposed “Project 60” which pledges to grow the state economy from $51 billion to $60 billion by the time Governor Otter leaves office.
