| Lottery Dividend Ceremony July 7, 2008 | |
|
Governor C. L. “Butch” Otter is joined by Idaho Lottery Commission Chairman Roger Jones and Idaho Lottery Director Jeff Anderson at Nampa High School for the check presentation from this year’s Idaho Lottery dividend. By law, 50% of the Lottery’s dividend must go toward the benefit of public schools in Idaho. |
The Governor also presented a dividend check worth $17,375,000 to Mike Gwartney, Director for the Department of Administration. The remainder of the dividend is given to the Department of Administration for improving Idaho’s permanent buildings. |

The Governor addresses the media and answers questions about the Faux Paw Internet Safety Program at the Boise Library.

The Governor listens to former Utah First Lady Jackie Leavitt, as she explains the importance of the iKeepSafeŽ program to area news media. The program was founded by Mrs. Leavitt and seeks to teach children about how to stay safe while using the internet. Some of the teaching materials will be distributed to Idaho Schools as a result of a donation from Qwest Idaho.
