Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter holds a bill signing ceremony for legislation that creates an Idaho “Gold Star Family” license plate for military families who have lost loved ones in service to their country.

The Governor poses with a members of various veterans groups and others after signing a proclamation declaring Idaho’s support for a new flag honoring our veterans. The “Veterans Remembered Flag” was envisioned as a national symbol of the service provided by all the members of our military, both living and deceased.

The Governor and  Lt. Governor Brad Little take part in groundbreaking ceremonies for a new Middleton High School. The old Middleton High School was gutted by fire in February of 2007 that destroyed 70% of the school.

“Capital for a Day” in Paul took place in the Paul City Hall which also serves as the West End Fire Department.
The Governor spends some time with local school students.

After “Capital for a Day” the Governor and First Lady, Lori Otter, visit a local park to plant a tree with city officials and local youngsters.

Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter signs a proclamation recognizing the efforts of the Snake River Chapter of the Idaho Muscular Dystrophy Association and state firefighters in raising funds to combat the disease. The proclamation was signed at Boise Fire Station #5.

May 29, 2009

The Governor was on hand to present the 17th Annual Hispanic Business Association Scholarships to deserving students. The presentations took place in the 2nd floor courtroom in the Borah Building in Boise.
